Our Aim:

Here at Shockout Academy, we wish to provide a training school for raw- talented individuals who would like to take their training to the next step. We look at building upon skillsets within genres such as hip hop foundations, ballet technique, jazz technique, tap and many more.

We aim to push our students understanding within the core values and expectations of the commercial dance industry as well as the knowledge and development of hip-hop foundational training, jazz technique and industry practice. We aim to elevate our youth by putting them through their paces within a training day which can offer a diverse and full range of classes twice a week.

Whilst open to everyone, Shockout Academy is a selective training school, with only a limited number of places available. The opportunity to audition will be listed under a first come first serve basis and audition dates and times will be provided on our website

Weekly Schedule:

At Shockout Academy we train two times a week- every week within all genres stated above (hip hop foundations, ballet technique, jazz technique, tap and many more). In addition to this we are now an established Examination Centre for practical dance assessments within the BBO Ballet and Tap syllabus. Our

Tuesday

5.30pm- 6.30pm (Ballet)

6.30pm- 7.30pm (Tap)

Saturday:

10.30am- 11.00am (Sign in/ Warm Up)

11.00am- 5.00pm (Variety of all styles which is timetabled and emailed weekly)

What We Expect:

We expect the highest level of commitment and discipline from our students, whilst working with us within the studio as well as outside establishments and events.

Shockout Academy has been divided into two working groups:

• Mid group (7- 11 yrs old)
• Senior group (12+ ) 

Upon application via our website, all information will be collated and stored within our online system to ensure Data Protection and Safeguarding of information is in place.

Uniform Expectations:

We follow a strict uniform policy to ensure a high level of discipline, grooming, behaviour, and professionalism to co- inside with our level of expectation within our educational programmes offered within Shockout Arts such as our BTEC Diploma courses and BA Hons Degree Courses. On acceptance of your place within Shockout Academy you will receive an starter pack which will provide a uniform list and order form.
