Shockout takeover the Brit Awards 2020

This year was the 40th anniversary of the Brit Awards: the biggest night in British Music. The event was hosted by Jack Whitehall, who opened the ceremony entertained with a sketch that incorporated iconic outfits worn by celebrities of the past.

The show really came to life when Mabel performed her hit single “Dont Call Me Up” – a performance that included 6 of our very own Shockout dancers! This was such a memorable moment as all 6 dancers were trained under Shockout Academy/Arts and were now sharing the stage together at one of UK’s most prestigious events.

Shockout pride didn’t stop there though. Performing alongside this year’s Male Artist of the Year, Stormzy, were another 5 Shockout students, consisting of 2 current students and 3 graduates! Furthermore, this performance was choreographed by our graduate, Regina Eigbe! What an amazing and thoroughly deserved achievement.

We are so proud of all our students who performed at this event. May you keep striving for your dreams and keep inspiring those around you. We can’t wait to see you on stage again!

Dancers: Regina Eigbe, Olivia Beckford, Kyra Walters, Malika Webb, Tia Gribben, Jessica Mendes, Nadia Robinson, Pearl Makayi, Jecoliah King, Lamaar Manning and Maya King.
